BLOOMDALE PARK

Public BBQ

This neighbourhood park offers a well-maintained grassy area with a concrete path that circles the space, perfect for young children on bikes, scooters, skateboards and rollerblades. The play equipment caters primarily to kids aged six and up, with a round swing that works well for toddlers, though parents of very young children under two may find limited suitable options. The soft, spongy ground surface beneath the playground helps prevent injuries during active play. A rotunda provides undercover shelter with clean, working electric barbecue facilities, making it a practical spot for family gatherings. The park serves its purpose as a local green space in this growing suburban area, delivering the basics families need. However, there's one significant drawback that multiple visitors highlight: the complete absence of toilet facilities. This lack of bathrooms can make longer visits challenging, especially with young children, and remains the park's most commonly mentioned shortcoming.
